Every day at Wellesley Nursery is carefully designed to feel happy, purposeful and full of discovery. Guided by the EYFS framework and enriched by our school setting, we balance uninterrupted play with specialist teaching and meaningful learning tailored to each child.
From early phonics and number confidence to music, swimming and woodland adventures, children develop strong foundations for Reception and beyond, with communication and language at the heart of all we do.
With specialist teachers, chef-prepared meals, daily outdoor learning and wraparound care from 8am to 6pm, Wellesley Nursery offers the very best start for every child.

Joining Wellesley Nursery is a warm and personal process. We encourage families to visit us, meet our team and experience the nurturing environment that makes Wellesley Nursery so special. Our admissions team will guide you through each step, from initial enquiry to your child’s first settling-in session.
Children can join Wellesley Nursery from the age of two, with flexible options including term-time and 51-week provision. We accept Early Years Funding, Tax-Free Childcare and Childcare Vouchers, helping to make high-quality early education accessible for families.

Boiler suits and mud-covered welly boots are the norm for regular ‘Forest Friends’ exploration in the woodland classroom. There are gymnastics and PE sessions led by specialist teachers as well as Music and weekly swimming lessons in the onsite pool. And with a universal Nursery and Pre-Prep breaktime when the time comes to move up, it’s an easy and familiar transition.
Our child absolutely thrives here. He loves exploring in the woods, getting involved in messy play and taking part in PE sessions. The trips are always a big talking point at home too.
The Wellesley journey begins in nursery where a 'real-life Miss Honey' nurtures the children and prepares them for a seamless transition to Reception. Play-based learning dominates in free-flow classrooms while outdoor space accommodates everything a small child could want.
