Getting Started
Your step by step nursery admission journey

Visit Us Anytime
You are warmly welcome to visit us as many times as you would like — open mornings, private tours, play groups and social events. We would recommend joining an open morning or arranging a private tour as your starting point. During all tours and visits, you will get a chance to meet with our nursery Manager.

Early Registration
When you’re ready, please register your child. We recommend doing this at least 6 months prior to admission to ensure a place is allocated to your child. To register; please complete our registration form and there is a registration fee of £120.

Enjoy a Taster Session
Before your child officially joins us, we will invite them to attend a stay and play taster session at the nursery. This special visit gives your child the opportunity to explore the environment, meet our friendly staff and begin to feel comfortable in their new surroundings.

Offer of a Place
After the taster session, we will write to you to confirm whether we are able to offer your child a place in our nursery. We kindly ask that you confirm acceptance at least four months before your child’s intended start date. However, if spaces become available, children may be able to start sooner.

Accepting Your Child’s Place
To accept the place, please complete our acceptance form and pay the £500 deposit, which will be held until the end of your child’s education with us.

The Wellesley journey begins in nursery where a 'real-life Miss Honey' nurtures the children and prepares them for a seamless transition to Reception. Play-based learning dominates in free-flow classrooms while outdoor space accommodates everything a small child could want.
Boiler suits and mud-covered welly boots are the norm for regular ‘Forest Friends’ exploration in the woodland classroom. There are gymnastics and PE sessions led by specialist teachers as well as Music and weekly swimming lessons in the onsite pool. And with a universal Nursery and Pre-Prep breaktime when the time comes to move up, it’s an easy and familiar transition.
Both of our children have attended/currently attend the Wellesley nursery. The care is excellent and my children are so happy skipping into nursery. The education is incredible and the learning is fun and often outdoors. Communication from staff is efficient and consistent and the wider school facilities that the children have access to are wonderful. I've seen such progress with both children in their physical, emotional and educational development since attending. We adore the nursery here which also provides an easy transition to school life in reception.
Our child absolutely thrives here. He loves exploring in the woods, getting involved in messy play and taking part in PE sessions. The trips are always a big talking point at home too.
