Getting the preparations underway
The whole school is beginning to prepare for Sports Day. In Nursery, we have been practising our races during games lessons and we love racing on the track as we come back from lunch.
This week, our Wednesday walk coincided with Mr Dearden repainting the racetracks. We are always fascinated by our Grounds Team and their amazing machines, and this gave us a brilliant opportunity to ask questions and see how everything works.

Sports Day at Wellesley
Sports Day at Wellesley is the highlight of the summer term and a much-anticipated occasion for the whole school, with Nursery fully involved in all the excitement. The day begins with a whole-school opening ceremony and gym display, setting the tone for a morning filled with energy and celebration. Nursery children then take part in a range of games in the EYFS playground, followed by track races on the Pre-Prep track, before coming together for a special prize-giving. It is a joyful and happy day, with all pupils having practised in advance so they feel confident, prepared and ready to take part in the fun and celebrations.
